DAY 7  - DOLPHIN TANK PITCHING DAY

Dolphin Tank

You may be familiar with an American reality TV show, Shark Tank where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to investors (sharks). Today, instead of attending a Shark Tank, we pitched our innovations at a "Dolphin Tank." It was our moment to share what we learned throughout the design thinking workshops. There were four investors from different industries. When it was my turn, I shared with them my inspirations of creating an intruder detector to stop tourists from trespassing the paddy fields in my hometown. After I attended the workshops, I realized that I could further develop this project into a photo-taking device that could assist the tourists in taking pictures without stepping into the fields. Besides, I also shared my business model of implementing big data research to identify the most popular tourist destination in my hometown Sekinchan. Honestly, I was super nervous while presenting, but I tried my best to pitch with passion and confidence. The investors were quite impressed with my innovation and offered some valuable suggestions to create more impact on society. In the end, my team won the "Most Scalable Award" because of my project's potential to be scaled to a wider user base.

A cheer before Dolphin Tank! Go Malaysia!
